Il mio template ti permette di prendere rec end 4 e self buff a AF 4, se dovessi prendere solo la 3, non lo porto proprio in rvr, visto che gia le pozze danno rec end 3.
Vediamo: se hai 2 selvaggi in assist sul tuo bel mago che succede, primo colpo lo intercetti e se hai culo pari il secondo (abbastanza sottolineo), provi a stunnare, se hanno cerimonial bracer, lo stun te lo scordi... intanto loro dopo 2 secondi riswingano sul caster, il pala dopo 4 riprova lo slam, ma essendo bravo e' riuscito a rimettere intercetta e forse assorbi un altro colpo...ma dopo 2 secondi loro riswingano, tu provi a stunnare e sempre che tu riesca, o si purgano oppure hanno determinazione e res cosi alte, che lo stun ti dura una sega...
A sto punto il tuo bel mago e' esploso da un bel pezzo...vedi tu
Cmq come dice quello sopra se il pala non avesse reg end e il gift di gruppo, in rvr sarebbe uno slot perso...

i 100 di danni li fa fervore nell'ipotesi in cui ci sono 3 tank che vanno in assist, non mi sembra di aver scritto li fa il paladino -.-
Hypno il problema è allora come ti ho già detto che anche il caster allora è inutile se salta in aria in 3 secondi, tanto vale allora avere un tank in più che il caster te lo fa saltare in aria in 2 secondi.
Poi cmq nel tuo ragionamento hai tralasciato quello che fa il caster nel mentre non è che sta a lì a rigirarsi i pollici e anche quei pochi secondi che gli dai a qualcosa di pesante può essere che lo fanno.

E un paladino che switcha canti per giunta 2h non regge con l'end a quel modo ma neanche gli altir tank si trovano proprio in una condizione idilliaca ( almeno io quando usavo il maestro d'armi con i colpi che consumavano molta end ne uscivo solo grazie al rec end 5 ), forse è per questo che tu con il tuo paladino lasci più esposti senza scudo del crociato perché che ci sia differenza tra rec end 4 e 5 è piuttosto evidente e con la 5 capita raramente di dover tener end più a lungo senza cambiare canto.
Infine il ragionamento mio resta sempre quello l'arci ice senza pbaoe non vale niente, lo scout senza arco idem lo stregone senza pom e mezz pure e si potrebbe continuare all'infinito secondo me non ha senso dire il paladino suka perché senza rec end e cura di gruppo non vale niente.
Ehehe se proprio poi vogliamo ragionare in termini di ML con bodyguard e grapple le cose cambiano un pochino.

edeor lo scout e' l'unico che specca in arco... l'arci ice e' l'unico che ha il pbaoe.. il paladino NON e' l'unico che specca scudo\melee, e tra le classi tank che speccano scudo\melee e' quello che per ws e destrezza piu' bassa si comporta peggio.
Cosa ha il paladino di unico? i canti (di cui alla fine gli unici che contano veramente in rvr sono il rec end e a volte le res) e il dono, se non avesse questi ci sarebbe un'altra classe in grado di fare meglio su tutta la linea, sia per caratteristiche base che per realm ability.
E' un discorso un po' contorto, ma il punto rimane sempre quello -> se il rec end lo avesse per esempio un menestrello, chi tra i tank da rvr scieglierebbe il paladino? :)
ps bodyguard e grapple fanno parte della linea battlemaster che possono sciegliere anche arms\preti\infiltratori\mercenari\scout\reaver ^^
In linea pratica, o si concepisce un gruppo gank nuker dedicato (molto difficile da giocare e studiato nei minimi dettagli), oppure i nuker come ice ad esempio, sono piu' uno spreco di energie a tenerli vivi che il loro effettivo contributo allo scontro.
Questo e' valido per l'rvr da 1 grp, sulla distanza dei 2 grp, trovano sicuramente piu' spazio e miglior efficacia....
Sono sicuramente impagabili in zerg, in quanto leecher spettacolari.
Tutto sta nel come si concepisce l'rvr.
Ma tornando al paladino, il suo unico significato e' appunto il reg end, persino le resist che dice il Rehlbe, vanno a sovrascrivere quelle timed dei chierici-preti...quindi direi 0 convenienza...
Il pala e' purtroppo un buon exp-bot.

è un Pg Huber al cubo contro i mob ma quasi inutile in RvR x quanto lo giochi bene swicciando guardia e canti ,mettendo + ingaggi possibili, stunnando il mondo e usando il taunt sui caster e sugli healer .... sono arrivato alla conclusione che missa troppo e fà dei danni irrisori...
Cmq il miglior template rimane 48canti e 42scudo anche solo x il PvE .... x l'RvR è un end bot :( è la dura realtà :cry:

Il problema non e' lo stun, non mi sembra piu' difficoltoso col pala rispetto altri tank con 42 scudo (anzi mi pare proprio uguale), il problema e' che di fronte hai tank che skivano 360 gradi, hanno item ed RA che vanificano l'operato dello stun.
Magari provalo ancora un po' sto pala, magari hai piu' capacita' di me nel suo utilizzo.
Il nuovo pala l'ho configurato con 0 agilita' per massimizzare i danni, non e' male, devo dirti la verita'.
I danni sono discreti e con apertura di stun eviti che i pbaoer ti smocchino in faccia facendo saltare in aria il tuo treno assist.
Nel template che ho fatto ci sono ampi margini di miglioramento, non ho tenuto particolarmente conto dei vari bonus di TOA (prima d'impazzire a reperire item, volevo farmi un'idea) e gia cosi, sia in exp che in rvr e' piu digeribile, ed hai cmq le stesse possibilita' di blocco con 42 scudo, almeno io non ho trovato alcuna differenza.
Il costo delle pietre respec e' davvero minimo, se ti farmi 2 scroll in croce con un reaver e un chierico ti rifai in fretta se vuoi respeccare 2 volte se ti serve.
Probabilmente, se ora potessi scegliere, preferirei avere velocita' di swing maxata, io mi sono procurato pozze di haste da 10 min recast.
La cosa che reputo migliore a questo punto e' il fare piu swingate possibili nell'unita' di tempo.

x farti un esempio il mio pala arriva a 1000 di ab armi non buffato(44lame) l'hero aveva 1600-1700(faccio a memoria con arma 50) e il war 1400(48armi sempre a memoria)
dati a memoria cmq bassi e che non fanno che aumentare i miss
il problema di fondo è quello senza armi alta missi :( ma senza i canti non so quanto sei utile atroce dilemma :(

l'abilita' arma di mano sinistra non influenza l'abilita' arma delo scudo che e' diversa.
Provate a andare su pendragon, tentare 100 stun con 1 a taglio e poi tentare 100 stun con 50 a taglio, e confrontate pure i danni fatti -> non cambia nulla.
anzi dalle mie prove e' risultata una media superiore con taglio a 1 (ovviamente e' tutto casuale ma e' per dare un idea.. probabilmente su una scala maggiore di test i risultati avrebbero teso sempre di piu' ad avvicinarsi).
Il pala ha meno ws cmq, ma non per la questione dell'arma, ma perche' e' considerato una classe ibrida e come tale anche a parita' di specializzazione avra' sempre meno ws di un tank puro o leggero.

INTRODUCTION & DISCLAIMER:
Greetings! Since I have questions of my own regarding certain aspects of melee combat in DAoC, I have decided to conduct some tests of my own to give me an idea of how certain things work, & also how effectively they work. I am sharing the data and/or results here for those interested. This information is NOT to be taken as a bible on DAoC mechanics, only my observations & theories based on data I have tested & reviewed. Feel free to form your own opinions & conduct alternative tests if you feel my test do not address an aspect of any particular issue that you may feel is relevant towards obtaining more definitive answers and/or results.
PREFACE:
The 'Hidden Shield Weaponskill' has always been a sort of enigma in DAoC, & there are several theories with regards to both how it works & how well it works via shield styles versus same spec mainhand weaponskill in penetrating the evade/parry/block defenses of your opponent. Past testing I have done under my former joint VN account of Xanadu_13 (with my sister), along with other tests I have read from other players, have brought up some interesting questions as to exactly what is going on with shield 'weaponskill'. Hopefully this round of testing will answer more questions that it raises.
It's already been established & proven in other testing that DEX is the 100% stat modifier for shield 'weaponskill'. That is the stat that has been shown to exclusively increase shield style damage & to-hit rate with those styles. The question is...what is that DEX being applied to, to create this shield 'weaponskill'? Is it your Shield Spec? Past testing has shown that a 50+X spec shield style wielded by someone with 29+X slash is hitting at the close to the same rate as the unstyled 29+X slash attacks, despite the shield attack supposedly having a higher shield 'weaponskill' due to 50+X spec versus 29+X spec (a good 200-250 weaponskill difference for a Paladin). This has led me to speculate that the game is using your highest 'weapon spec' (regardless of what you have equipped in main hand) + DEXTERITY (instead of STR or STR/DEX as with slash/crush/thrust) to determine your shield 'weaponskill'. Well, I decided to test this theory & you can read the results below....
TESTING CONDITIONS:
A battery of shield/weapon tests were conducted on Pendragon between my 50 Saracen s/s Paladin & a friend's 50 Saracen Reaver (50 Flex, 50 Shield, 28 Parry). To obtain a larger data sample of successful hits to compare against in the various tests, the Reaver had her uber 50+X spec shield unequipped & only her Evade1 & 28+10 Parry were active defenses. All equipment used was level lvl 51 & with 35% enchant bonus. Conditions for ALL tests were kept completely constant EXCEPT for the one variable being tested. Each test exchange involved 200+ attempted attacks on the test dummy Reaver opponent.
TESTS CONDUCTED:
The following series of test listed below were conducted to measure how they compared to eachother at differing shield & slash spec levels. By sequentially measuring the successful rate of penetrating the Reavers defenses with the same shield style at differing slash/shield specs (going one extreme to the other), we can see which spec is really influencing the successful hit rate & thus what basis (+DEX) is being used to form the enigma that is 'shield weaponskill'.

Notes: This is the standard benchmark test that establishes where the general successful hit ratio is with 29+14 Slash & 50+14 Shield spec on this particular Reaver test subject....

Notes: Notice how when going from a 50+14 shield spec to rock bottom 03+14 shield spec, there is almost no change in the Reavers successful evade/parry ratio...despite what should be a good 400-500 drop in shield 'weaponskill' for the Paladin...if indeed it is based on her shield spec as Mythic has claimed in past grab bags.

Notes: Notice how when going from a 29+14 slash spec to a 50+14 slash spec, while shield stays at rock bottom 03+14 spec from previous test, the Reaver suddenly takes a 6.58% drop in her evade/parry rate against the shield styles...just where it probably would be if shield weaponskill suddenly increased 200-250. The increased slash spec here suddenly increased the successful hit ratio on shield styles....hmmm.

Notes: Notice how when we flip-flop the specs & take Slash rock bottom & shield back up to max spec, the results of the last test reverse themselves & the Reaver evades/parries 7.69% more shield styles...when it should be the opposite way around if shield 'weaponskill' is based on shield spec.

CONCLUSIONS:
Based on this series of tests, shield 'weaponskill' would appear to based on whatever the Paladin's Slash spec is, modified by her DEX however, instead of STR (as normal Slash mainhand weaponskill is). Since past tests have shown that changing mainhand weaponskill didnt change shield style hit rates, it would appear the game is using your highest weapon spec, regardless of what you have equipped, & then applying DEX with that, to generate a weaponskill for shield. How this applies to hybrid Polearm & 2hnded users, I am not sure...does it take their highest one handed spec of crush/slash/thrust or use their higher Polearm/LW/2hnd spec?
I'm not sure if this is a bug to be reported to Mythic or working as intended, but apparently their grab bag indicating shield 'weaponskill' is based on Shield Spec & Dex was at least halfway incorrect with regard to shield spec. Personally, since I think it is indeed supposed to be based on shield spec & dex (as the shield damage variance & cap is), I have reported it as a bug to them...along with a copy of this test.
On a side note, however, the shield style damage was indeed based on the Paladin's shield spec (as noted above). With her max shield spec (50+14), her average total damage was about 30% greater than with minimal shield spec (3+14) during these tests.
If the results of this test hold up, it won't really hurt melee specs that have same or higher spec mainhand weapon spec than shield (it actually helps some of them)...but it will hurt classes (hybrids & scouts mostly) that tend to have lower mainhand weapon spec than shield spec. It's ironic that a high shield spec w/lower mainhand wpn spec melee can hit harder with their shield, but do so less often since they get evaded, parried, & blocked more. Ah, the irony of it all. Bug or working as intended?
Well, there you have it. The good, the bad, & the ugly.

guarda, questi test non fanno altro che confermare quello che penso... nel test 3, che confermerebbe una dipendenza della ws di scudo da quella di taglio c'e' un vantaggio del solo 6%, vantaggio minimo per poter stabilire con certezza che le due ws siano collegate.
E cmq questi test li avevo gia' visti, ma non mi son fidato e ho voluto provare di persona -> 42 scudo tenuto fisso e taglio portato a 1 o 50, e i risultati son stati quelli descritti sopra.
Il fatto e' che per questa cosa finche' un conoscitore della vera formula per calcolare i danni\probabilita' per colpire di scudo non la svelera' non ci sara' verso dare una risposta definitiva.
Quello che so, e pure quei test lo confermano, e' che tra avere taglio a 1 o a 50 le probabilita' di colpire sono praticamente le stesse.
