beh axet ad esempio io che ci faccio girare vm mi viene utile avere piu' core disponibili
per gaming e' semplicemente inutile dato che non ho visto praticamente nessun gioco andare oltre i 4 core usati (si ok alcuni giochi possono usarne di piu' ma le prestazioni dopo il 5o non valgono il prezzo)
l'high-end in fatto di cpu non e' per gaming ma piu' per applicazioni video o resource intensive come ad esempio nel mio caso vm

se invece che giocarci ci devi lavorare e fare number crunching la differenza di performance fra uno xeon 4core di 5 anni fa e un processore amd 8core dell'anno scorso alla stessa frequenza di clock con un codice veramente parallelo e davvero ottimizzato è *abissale*, tipo 4 ore col primo 16 col secondo...
