Q: In my TOA box, there's an extra DAOC CD with its own CD key. Do I need to install it?
A: No - that's a "friend" CD. It's the original world, with most of the patches to date, and Foundations. If you've got a roommate, or a spouse, or a child you'd like to get into the game, hand them that CD - there's a free seven day trial.
Of course, if you want the thirty day free trial, you can always buy the basic game at most software stores.
