In Issue 2, Badges are awarded to players for accomplishing special tasks. One of these tasks is to research Paragon's City History by reading all of the history plaques in the game. The devs made some of them VERY difficult to find, but a group of dedicated gamers with a little help from the devs (Thanks Positron!) were able to find them all and collect their locations for you along with directions.
You'll notice that there are coordinates at the beggining of each of these. You can find your coordinates on a map by typing /loc or setting up a key in your Options menu to give the location when you press it. Use this to zero in on plaques that are hard to find even after following the directions. Take your bearings often and pay careful attention to how going a certain direction changes the numbers. This is easier than it sounds and is only needed for the really tough ones.
Plaques are different from exploration badges because you have to actually click on the Plaques to read their message and get credit. Additionally, you must read ALL of the plaques on a certain subject before a badge will be rewarded, so don't be discouraged if the first plaque you hit doesn't spawn a badge. You will always have to touch a few to get rewarded a badge.
On the bright side, the city's history is pretty neat. I look forward to the devs adding even more history, but I hope they put future plaques in more obvious locations with special art involved. They should be tourist badges more than anything. There are certainly interesting peices of art in the game that are worth visiting. Luckily, those are covered fairly well with the tourism/exploration badges too.
If you are wanting to search for these on your own, then don't look any farther. These are INCREDIBLY time consuming to find though, and if you are like me, then the experience of getting to read them is the fun part and the finding them is the chore. If you find it a thrilling challenge to search through a zone for plaques then READ NO FURTHER! If you just are a badge hunter, or you can't wait to read all about the city's history, well here are the secret's revealed:
Atlas Park - 5 plaques
CitizenCrimeAct1 (-1144.6 -16.0 -172.2) East wall of small park just south of Hyperion Way dot
CitizenCrimeAct2 - ( 1324.7 4.3 416.0 ). It's North and a tiny bit east of the Downside marker. Go north on the road from the Downside marker, make the first right and look for it on a grassy knoll just passed the building with a yellow canopy.
AxisAttack1 - (510.8 0.5 -1150.8) NW Corner of Atlas Park main building on ground (Atlas' Key)
MightForRightAct1 - (631.7, 0.0, 961.0) - 100 yards West of Sewer Entrance (south side of statue's base)
PsychicFeedbackLoop1 - (2546.8 -0.0 -1177.2); N.W. of Argosy Industrial point. Near a bus-stop.
Galaxy City - 5 plaques
AxisAttack2 - (-730.4, -0.0, -1337.9) Approximately 50 yards S of Equinox Point. Plaque is on a pedestal just east of kneeling statue in reflective pool.
CitizenCrimeAct3 - (-1784.8, 0.0, 498.5) Approximately 130 yards SW of Perez Park entrance and 80 yards SE of Gemini Park point. Plaque is on the west side of a pillar under a hanging light.
MightForRightAct2 - (1160.7, 32.0, -714.0) Approximately 240 yards W of Freedom Court point. Plaque is on a pedestal, in a park, right under the tram tacks.
MightForRightAct3 (413.8, 0.7, 889.6) - 146 yards SE of the Nebula District marker (on wall next to the dumpster - sneaky).
PsychicFeedbackLoop2 - (-521.3 0.8 -489.9) - 450 yards north/northwest of Constellation Row marker(tiny bit west once you are on the road that is 450 yards north of marker). Marker is on north side of the road next to a telephone pole facing south (towards the street).
King's Row - 5 plaques
AxisAttack3 - (-177, -42, -1466) - Follow road from GC exit 640 yards south, then on right side (West or Hide Park side) jump down to find it on the east-facing side of building.
AxisAttack4 - (-401.1, 0.0, 1754.9) Corner of building between Police HQ and Hospital. Go north from front of hospital, where road goes west, go east behind the building, pedestal with plaque is at the far corner.
PsychicFeedbackLoop3 - {627.7 -42 969.8) - 266 yards NE of King Garment Marker, just north of the cranes.
PsychicFeedbackLoop4 - (-1365.2, -42.0, 687.8) -
PsychicFeedbackLoop5 - (-56, -42, -1082) - 333 yards NW of the Gish marker. Hidden between a building and a concrete wal.
Perez Park - 5 plaques
PsychicFeedbackLoop6 - (227, 0, 1640) - On the north-facing alley wall of "Chillin Villain" Bail Bonds. The bondsman's office is immediately to your left from the GC entrance on the street corner.
AxisAttack5 - (-1170.0 -32.0 2248.6) - 319 yards SW of Perez Park marker, along the SW bank of the river, hidden from the river view under a tree.
CitizenCrimeAct4 - (-1523.1, 0.0, 3957.5) - just west of Skyway entrance, north of the small Talos statue on the opposite side of the wall(inside the park)
CitizenCrimeAct5 -(-2633, 0, 378) Just inside the park wall, north of Atlas entrance.
MightForRightAct4 - (-1277.9 -34.3 938.2) - 263 yards south of the Bettis Hills marker...just go to the Bettis Hills marker and follow the river south for 263 yards and the plaque is on the eastern shore.
Steel Canyon - 4 plaques
Superadine1 (-1765.9, 0.0, -1277.1) Crimson Fist statue, just north of IP entrance, plaque right beside statue.
Superadine2 (-2178.6 0.2 751.0) - 650 yards North of Perez Park exit (in building just past the lake). The plaque faces north on a building next to a parkling lot across the street from The Hungry Dragon restaurant.
HeroCorps1 - (-4023.3, -79.7, -278.3) In grass next to Wyatt Anderson (contact) or 420 yards North/Northwest of Bronze Way marker in grass in front of a large building.
WarOnDrugs1 - (4154, 0.0, 2067.2) - In the grass patch by Yellow Line. Go to tram's back support and look to your right as you go north. It is next to a patch of grass.
Boomtown - 5 plaques
WarOnDrugs4 - (-1672, -0.0, 4723.8) - around 195 yards East of The Fuse map marker. If you go east from the Fuse Marker, go OVER tunnel, and it is facing east as soon as you drop down (in other words on the wall behind you).
Superadine4 - (1144, 0, -145) - 175 yards west of Grenadier Village Marker. Plaque will be on your left.
HeroCorps3 - (-1904.7, 126.7, 755.5) - 388 yards SW of the Cannonade dot (on the corner of a raised road).
HeroCorps4 - (-2652.8, -0.0, 3054.6) - 318 yards South (and a tiny bit east) of Powderkeg marker. The plaque faces east.
HeroCorps5 - (-680, 272, 3118) - 543 yds NNw of the Fuse marker. Partially buried.
Skyway City - 4 plaques
WarOnDrugs2 - (-1466.8 16.0 -2346.0) - Approx 160 yards west of Talos entrance, In a rest stop type area under a Crey Biotech billboard. In middle floor on wall next to restrooms and ATM.
WarOnDrugs3 - (1397.2 -115.8 -1145.3) - Approx. 250 yards west of the Land of the Lost marker on concrete embankment on the North side of a road (at the end of a slight decline in the road).
Superadine3 - ( 507.8, 85.2, -5511.5) - about 159 yds north of the tram on the eastern highway. The plaque is facing north
HeroCorps2 - (737.1 -126.0 -3746.7) - 440 yards south of the tram in plain sight on a road beneath the highway.
Faultline - 4 plaques
Superadine5 - (-904, 17, -1980) - On the east side of a building on the far east side (next to wall) of the map from the Downfall marker. Plaque meshes in as it faces south, so best to go due east to the wall from downfall and track it by heading north from there along the wall.
HeroCorps6 - (136.8 -866.8 1019.3) - Just north (175 yards) of the Reservoir marker (to the left of the destroyed information kiosk if you are traveling north from the Reservoir marker).
HeroCorps7 - (76 -611 -14) - It is approx 510 yds nearly due north of Reservoir marker, down in the bottom of a canyon on a small pedestal next to a brick wall. It is just NNE of the Warondrugs5 marker.
WarOnDrugs5 - (-23.9 -574.6 352.2) North side of slantyBuilding that is 394yds North of Reservoir marker.
Independence Port - 4 plaques
FreedomPhalanx1 - (906.8, 98.1, -4178.4) -179 yards south of Valor Bridge marker (on left side of bridge if traveling south from marker)
FreedomPhalanx2 - (-1036.0 32.0 -2443.3 ) - 430 yards west of the KR entrance, near the water on a raised overpass.
SpankyRabinowitz1 - (-1627.5, 0 .2, 5256.3) - Go to the SE corner of the map, then head west along that road while looking to your right. It is at the first gated opening in plain sight.
SpecialCouncil1 - (-1078.7, 3.2, 2316.2) - On the tip of a South Eastern penisula from the Terra Volta island. This plaque is about celebrating the founding of the Council, so I think it is in this group, but it also mentions Freedom Phalanx. Finding the last plaque will probably clear this all up.
Terra Volta - 4 plaques
SpecialCouncil4 - (2876.5 96.0 -3976.9) - 155 yards East of the Rogers Industries markers on the south side of the road (on your right if traveling from the marker).
SpecialCouncil5 - (-637.0 0.0 -6185.6 ) - 712 yards SE of entrance. Use the coordinates here. It is very hard to see but sits on a stone next to a large generator in the middle of a pattern of large generators. The plaque faces south.
SpankyRabinowitz6 - (2088.4 0.0 -6054.5 ) - 492 yards south west of entrance. In line with the eastern edge of Coroman Manufacturing zone. South Side of building to the left of door.
FreedomPhalanx5 - (348.0 188.0 -3603.4) - 300 yards East of Terra Volta Reactor. Go the 300 yards and you'll be at a ledge, go to the NE corner and drop, it is at the base of the ledge facing east.
Talos Island - 4 Plaques
FreedomPhalanx4 - (1777.3, 18.5, 7846.2) - By Talos's foot (at the Talos statue).
SpecialCouncil2 - (1531, 160, 7553) - 225 yrds east of tram.
SpankyRabinowitz2 - (1144.9 224.8 5687.9) - 118 yds east of New Corinth marker.
SpankyRabinowitz3 - (-3680.3, 128.5, 1517.1) - Near Ithaca Island dot.
Dark Astoria - 4 plaques
FreedomPhalanx4 (3409.3, 42, 3035) - 183 yards SE of Toffet Terrace marker, to the left of the bottom of a short stairwell. The marker faces east.
SpankyRabinowitz4 - (5218.2, 0.0, 135.0) - 530 yards north of Romero Heights marker against the northern boundary marker.
SpankyRabinowitz5 (5890, 0, 1547) - 335 yards north of Dark Astoria Entrance on concrete divider between large buildings on the east side of the road. The plaque faces south.
SpecialCouncil3 - (2498.4, 87.4, 488.8) - Mid-north area of map, using loc is probably fastest, but nearest marker is Moth Cemetary, the plaque is 461 yards NW of the marker.
Brickstown - 2 plaques
DimensionalBarrier2 - (-229.0, 0.0, -369.5) Using /loc is helpful here. East face of a building that is 430 yards south of the Green Line (tram).
DimensionalBarrier3 - (-3463.0, 0.0, 2067.1) Just a smidge north of the SE corner of Zig fencethe pedistal. Now working!
Crey's Folly - 1 (or two?) plaques
RiktiWar2 - (7226.3, 32.0, -549.8) - 162 yards North of the Carnival Town marker.
RiktiWar3 - (2569.5 -0.0 2680.1) - 239 yds. north and a bit east of The Blight Marker. It's a freestanding pedestal on the corner of a turn in the road.
Rikti Crash Site - 1 plaque
NemesisSeizesControl2 - (2012.2 126.2 -7050.7) - Put a thumbtack in the centre of the rikti ship on the map (the pale blue dot). It's 560 yards north east of that. It's on a piece of ground sloping steeply up to the West, on the northwest corner of a broken building.
Founders Falls - 2 plaques
DimensionalBarrier1 - (1721.2, -16.0, 2400.9) - 217 yards west of Gaspee marker - on the east-facing wall of a riverbank (with a dock attached).
RiktiWar1 - (4245, 0, 3685) - 211 yards north of the Hutchinson Park marker. Right next to a bridge that is just west of Penny Preston (the mutant store).
Also in FF - (2687.6, 0.0, 895.8) and (2665, 0, 4088) - BROKEN??? The two angel statues at the north and south ends of the Red River's Western banks. Neither of them give information, so they may be decorative, but hopefully they are just not turned on yet. Not sure if this is the last clue here.
Eden - 2 plaques
RiktiWar4 - (-2815 -26 2968) - 107 yards NE of Pit marker. The plaque faces SE on a sloped bit of concrete squares pavement.
RiktiWar5 - (-1317, 0, 4487) - Pretty high up on a wall 148 yds West of the Utopia Complex marker.
Peregrine Island - 1 plaque
NemesisSeizesControl1 - (-1900.2, 0.2, -7229.3) 159 yards NW of the Cutlass Isle marker facing west behind a pillar
Abandoned Sewers - These are the higher level sewers that you can only reach after level 36. It is reached by going to the door to the right after entering any of the normal sewer entrances
NemesisSeizesControl3 - (465.2, -576.0, -1558.0) - The best way to describe is location is to direct someone to enter the sewers in Boomtown and then head East towards the Steel Canyon Sector. The plaque is located on a wall at a junction point connecting the Boomtown, Steel Canyon and Underworld sectors. On the wall in this junction point room there will be something that says "Drainage Arm 8 Steel Canyon", letting you know that you are soon to enter the Steel Canyon sector of the sewers. Below this sign and to the left is the plaque. There is only one path from the Boomtown Sector to the Steel Canyon Sector, so if you can navigate between the sectors you should be able to find it. Sorry the directions are so complicated, it's kind of difficult to describe where the plaque is without any real landmarks in the area.
