[Priest] Shadow/Discipline Template

Ecco qua. Questo è il template che ho intenzione di seguire con il mio pg.
Un template orientato sia al PvE che al PvP, perchè, cmq, credo (e, a quanto ho letto su varie boards, attendibilmente) che anche se non speccato puramente Holy, il priest possa comunque svolgere il suo ruolo di curatore sia all'interno delle instance, sia in ottica PvP.
Per ora sono al livello 38, ho messo punti solo nel ramo shadow per ottenere prima possibile la Shadowform per poter dare un miglioramento alla parte soloing dell'exp. Mi trovo molto bene con questo setup e, se non ci saranno grosse indicazioni in senso diverso nell'exp "high level", punterò a questo template anche all'apertura di WoW EU. ^^


Discipline Talents (18 points)

• Silent Resolve - 5/5 points
  Reduces the threat generated by your damage spells by 20%.
  
• Improved Power Word: Shield - 3/3 points
  Reduces the duration of your Power Word: Shield's Weakened Soul effect by 15 seconds.
  
• Improved Power Word: Fortitude - 2/2 points
  Increases the effect of your Power Word: Fortitude spell by 30%.
  
• Martyrdom - 2/2 points
  Gives you a 100% chance to gain the Focused Casting effect that lasts for 6 seconds after being the victim of a critical strike. The Focused Casting effect prevents you from losing casting time when taking damage.
  
• Focused Casting - 1/1 point
  While active, you no longer lose casting time from taking damage. Lasts 8 seconds.
  
• Mental Agility - 2/5 points
  Reduces the mana cost of your instant cast spells by 4%.
  
• Improved Inner Fire - 3/3 points
  Increases the effects of your Inner Fire spell by 45%.

Shadow Talents (33 points)

• Spirit Tap - 5/5 points
  Gives you a 100% chance to gain a 100% bonus to your Spirit after killing a target. For the duration, your Mana may regenerate at a 50% rate while casting. Lasts 15 seconds.
  
• Blackout - 5/5 points
  Gives your Shadow damage spells a 10% chance to stun the target for 3 seconds.
  
• Improved Shadow Word: Pain - 2/2 points
  Increases the duration of your Shadow Word: Pain spell by 6 seconds.
  
• Improved Psychic Scream - 2/2 points
  Reduces the cooldown of your Psychic Scream ability by 4 seconds.
  
• Mind Flay - 1/1 point
  Assault the target's mind with Shadow energy, causing 75 damage over 3 seconds and slowing the target to 50% of their movement speed.
  
• Improved Fade - 2/2 points
  Increases the duration of your Fade ability by 10 seconds.
  
• Shadow Reach - 3/3 points
  Increases the range of your Shadow damage spells by 20%.
  
• Silence - 1/1 point
  Silence the target, preventing them from casting spells for 5 seconds.
  
• Vampiric Embrace - 1/1 point
  Afflicts your target with Shadow energy that causes all party members to be healed for 20% of any Shadow damage you deal for 1 minute.
  
• Shadow Weaving - 5/5 points

  Assume a Shadowform, increasing your Shadow damage by 15% and reducing Physical damage done to you by 15%. However, you may only cast Shadow and Discipline spells while in this form.

Giudizi, opinioni?

Sarebbe interessante sapere la razza che farai perchè questo influenza un poco il tp.

Spirit tap a 5 può andar bene in exp ma poi arrivato al 60 meglio 3 punti su improved Mindblast.

pensavo di farlo simile, solo:

Disciple:
Unbreakable Will 5/5: Increases your chance to resist Stun, Fear and Silence effects by 15%.

invece di Silent Resolve

e forse in Shadow:
Shadow Focus 2/5: Reduces your targets chance to resist your Shadow spells by 4%.
invece di Improved Fade

quest'ultimo più orientato a pvp che al pve

oh, si, sorry. Razza Dwarf (secondo me la più adeguata) con Fear Warp (per cui avevo rinunciato a Unbreakeble Will puntando sul mio buff).

una domanda:
pensavo di fare un priest shadow/disc o holy/disc.Come lo vedete in un server pvp in soloing(non sempre sarò con la gilda e vorrei potermi muovere bene anche da solo)

EDIT:quando nella descrizione della spell dice 120 danni in 10 secondi intende 10 tic da 120 danni o 10 tic da 12 danni?o ancora 6 tic da 24 etc

Per il soloing in un server pvp ti consiglio shadow/disc, io lo sto facendo e mi trovo molto bene.
Per quanto riguarda la spell fà 120 danni in un arco di tempo di 10 secondi quindi mai 10 tic da 120 danni :D ora non so quanti tic farà, ma il totale dei danni per 10 secondi è sicuramente 120.

non dire così che rischio di lasciarci le penne....

i dot SONO la PRIMA arma del priest. SW:Pain fa sfaceli, Minf Flay è fa danni potenti e snare del 50%. Se metti un pò di talenti giusti fai un botto di danni solo con i due dot.
Pensa che il mio inc tipo è:
SW:Pain, Mind Flay, Mind Blast, Shield, Mind Flay, Mind Flay, Mind Blast, mob morto.
E finisci con metà mana e full vita contro un mob con 2 livelli più di te.
(ovviamente volendo risparmiare mana si può andare anche di renew e melee+wand)
Ho SW:Pain rank 5. Con i talenti fa 70-80 danni ogni 5 secondi, e anche più dato che entra il debuff di 15% shadow. E devo finire di mettere i punti su darkness. Tutt'altro che male.
Anche perchè non ci sono altre risorse.. Mind Blast ha un cooldown quindi non puoi usarlo sempre, e holy smite è troppo, troppo lento per essere praticabile (l'ho tolto di barra e non lo traino da un pò).

L'unica cosa certa del priest al momento è che il ramo Holy è davvero troppo inferiore agli altri 2 per poter essere preso in considerazione.

Ho sentito che al livello 60 alcuni priest respeccano in Holy/Disc perchè per poter fare i dng istanziati di alto livello è molto utile avere i talenti Holy, però rimane il fatto che in pvp sì è inferiori (e di parecchio) a un priest Shadow/Disc

Cmq io quando dingherò il 60 credo proprio che avrò più alta Discipline di Shadow, è un buon ramo e ha cose molto utili, oltre ad Improved Power Word: Shield che è oserei dire un must, ha il talento per aumentare il mana pool che non è niente male, c'è Inner Focus che è ottimo, inoltre 2 punticini per diminuire il casting time del Mana Burn io li metto, contro i caster è un ottimo spell specie se li si coglie di sorpresa e si ha il vantaggio dell'iniziativa ^^

Ah aggiungo anche che le razze migliori (imho) sono per l'Ally il dwarf e per l'Orda l'undead

per expare nn ce dubbio che il teamplate shadow 31/33 con shadowform resto disciple sia il migliore...
per il pvp io invece penso che l improved flash heal sia qualcosa di importantissimo .. 70% di nn essere interrotti ha salvato il culo fin troppe volte sia a me sia a quello che stavo curando :P mentre invece la shadowform e' discretamente inutile a meno che nn si ha un altro priest a curare e allora ci si puo dedicare a far danno e dispellare... pur sempre rimanendo parecchio inferiori a un mage come burst damage...
io son ancora indeciso sul build finale, pensavo a una roba simile...

oppure droppare silence shadowreach improved psychic e improved mb per prendere improved mana burn che contro gli ibridi fa la sua porca figura

E' interessante anche la soluzione di Tomb effettivamente, anche se c'è da dire che quando si è in gruppo vs gruppo e ti puntano in 4-5 nemici hai voglia ad avere il talento con Flash Heal... scoppi peggio di un pop corn :gha:

E se ti attacca uno solo o un paio si può tener botta con PW:S e sparare 2 curette, per poi ovviamente kitare perchè non siamo esattamente la classe più adatta per fare da pungingball :P

Non so io finora i problemi in pvp li ho sempre avuti perchè a un certo punto finiva sempre il mana, bersi la pozza ok ma dopo per 2 minuti non ne puoi usare nessuna e se poi ho bisogno di una swiftness per avere un po' di respiro? Il ramo Discipline è l'unico che aumenta il mana pool e diminuisce il costo degli spell quindi è l'unico che dà una mano in questo senso...

Io parto di smite (che ha cast lungo quindi va bene per il pull), seguito da SWP se il mob è scrauso, oppure da MindBlast + SWP, quindi melee e wand, eventualmente un renew solo se serve. Per finire MindFly quando il mob scappa in aree affollate.

L'ordine conta. Se vuoi usare SWP e Mindblast confine usare prima Mindblast e poi subito SWP, perchè se fai il contrario devi perdere un secondo del cooldown di SWP prima di poter castare Mindblast (sottigliezze ma a volte contano).
