[Ps3 / Xbox 360] Persona 4 The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena

Persona Team Intimately Involved in Persona 4 Fighting Game Development

The big shocker from this week's Famitsu is Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka, an HD fighting game based of Persona 4. A few additional details have surfaced since word of the game first broke earlier in the day.

As detailed earlier (see this story), The Ultimate in Mayonaka is being developed by the BlazBlue staff at Arc System Works. But the Persona team appears to be intimately involved.

Speaking with Famitsu, the game's producer, Arc's Toshimichi Mori, said that he was shocked when Atlus came to them with the offer to work on the title. The BlazBlue team includes many fans of the Persona series, so their motivation for the project was very high, he said.

The Persona team didn't want to just have the BlazBlue team develop the game for them. Instead, they wanted the game to be a joint development project. According to Mori, game's director Takumi Iguchiya (whom you'll recognize as the lead programmer on the BlazBlue series) is working closely with the Persona team.

In addition to the commentary Mori, we have a list of modes that appears in Famitsu:

•Arcade Mode: Face off against CPU opponents while following the story
•Story Mode: Delve deeper into the arcade mode's story. This will be exclusive to the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game.
•Score Attack Mode: Face off against CPU opponents to get the high score
•VS Mode: Face off against a CPU or human opponent
•Online Battle: Face off against players throughout the world in online combat (I imagine that can be taken as confirmation of an international release...)

The game will include original stories for all its included characters, which come from both Persona 4 and Persona 3. The overarching story is set two months after the events of Persona 4. The characters appear on a fighting program called "P-1 Grand Prix."

The Ultimate in Mayonaka will be released first to arcades in Spring 2012. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will follow in the summer.

C'entra relativamente ma.. mi spiegate che ha di bello persona? Preciso che ho giocato solo P3 per PSP, dopo tipo 10 ore di gioco l'ho mollato perchè mi pareva una cagata atroce. Facile, lineare, storia del cazzo (almeno fin dove l'ho visto io).. una tristezza atroce

Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena will be released in arcades next spring. The 2D fighting game is being built with Taito Type X2 hardware and will support NESiCAxLive, an online system for patches and leaderboards. Arc System Works plan to use four buttons and an 8-way directional stick.

Meccaniche: praticamente roman cancel di guilty gear(rapid cancel in blazblue),il sistema di movimento è il classico airdasher di bb

e un bel po di meccaniche di base

Four buttons, layed out in a square:
AC
BD

A - Weak attack
B - Strong attack
C - Persona attack
D - Persona Rush

Lifebar, you get the idea.
SP gauge, used for EX attacks and supers.
The gauge below your lifebar is the Persona gauge. If you drain it, you enter PERSONA BREAK and you can't use your Persona or burst.

S ATTACK: Mash the A button for easy combos! Can be super-cancelled
BURST: ACD. Gold bursts are available. Something called "One More Burst," "the moment you hit, you can really beat the fuck out of your foe"
R Action: B+D. An invincible move. Drains from the HP gauge briefly; will recover over a short time.
Beatdown Rush: AB, then mash A or B after hit, then hit C or D. AB attack is an overhead. C is a launcher (hold up to chase), D knocks opponent away.
Awakening: Activates at low life. Increases defense, Awakening moves become available (SDMs?) SP gauge max goes up to 150SP, and you gain 50SP for free.

Persona Break: When your Persona's out, damage to it or you decreases the Persona gauge. (Jojo's?)

Other misc functions:
P Combo: Gatling strings (A->B->C).
Sweep: Down + A + B
Quick Escape: A + C. "Moves to dodge attack."
Mini-jump: Down + A + C (hop?)
Air Turn: A + C in midair. You turn. IN THE AIR.
Throw: C + D. Unblockable (duh) and can be done in the air. Break with C+D.
Ukemi: Push a button while falling/hitting the ground.
Guard Cancel Attack: Forward + A + B while guarding. Costs 50SP. Has some invincible frames.
One More! Cancel: A+B+C. 50SP. Roman cancel.
Super Cancel: "Buffer certain supers during a special move: cancel into super, costs HP"

Ti rispondo solo ora che non avevo letto :look:

E' lineare perchè è un dungeon crawler/life sim, non un jrpg con open world, sono tutti hub>dungeon>hub etc.
Facile... ha tipo 5 o 6 livelli di difficoltà, cosa hai scelto? Che poi è un termine molto relativo per sto genere, tutto si risolve a quanto devi essere overlivellato rispetto ai nemici
La storia è ok, all'inizio ha una premessa un po' da wtf ma poi assume i normali toni "epici" del genere, a 10 ore mi sà che i segmenti di storia che hai visto sono stati abbastanza pochi, è parecchio lungo, tipo 60+ ore.... devo dire di avere apprezzato di piu' le storie di Persona1 e 4, cmq

si ma mo che c'è bb e avete bb giocate a bb plz

Sto gioco mi manda in crisi.. non saprei chi usare... amo tutti :( :( anche se manca LUI il pg piu' bello di P3-4: Koromaru..
