(Nasdaq: ATVI) have confirmed Earth’s invasion of Stroggos with the announcement that QUAKE 4™ PC has entered manufacturing and will begin shipping to retail stores nationwide on Tuesday, October 18. The long awaited sequel to QUAKE II®, QUAKE 4 enlists gamers in the role of Matthew Kane, a member of the Earth Defense Force’s legendary Rhino Squad, to penetrate deep into the heart of the Strogg war machine and engage in a series of heroic missions to destroy the barbaric alien race.

Il 18 Ottobre, in pratica, Q4 esce negli USA. Speriamo non sia una vaccata come Doom 3 e che mantenga il multiplayer agli stessi livelli (se non migliori) di Q3...

La ID ha dichiarato che i multiplayer saranno le versioni "arena". Dissero anche che con Doom3 volevano chiudere con gli FPS che puntano al single player, ma io continuo ad apprezzarli e spero che quake4 sia come quake1 e 2

per chi non lo sapesse, q3 non ha avuto sto gran successo, mancava di un sp decente, era un gioco molto difficile, era pesante al punto che un pc entry level ci faceva 10fps (al tempo della q3demo si giocava con le TNT2), nonostante questo è stato il primo gioco a cui la cpl e wcg hanno dedicato tornei con montepremi da capogiro, è stato per anni il punto di riferimento di un lanparty e il test hw per eccellenza
