More official teams than before but the Premier League still feels fake. How bothered you are by this is entirely down to personal taste.

Visually sharp with superb animation, let down by the clunky crowd and occasional drop in frame-rate.
7.0 Sound
The commentary is decent enough, as is the in-match chants and crowd noise, but the menu music is awful unless you have a penchant for Euro pap.
10 Gameplay
Nothing comes close to PES in terms of the way it plays and how connected to your team and players you feel during a game. Absolutely magnificent.
9.5 Lasting Appeal
The single-player game will last months. The multiplayer – both on- and off-line – will take over your life for the next 12 months.

La polemica relativa al fatto che la serie di Pro Evolution Soccer non evolva adeguatamente è più infiammata che mai, ed ora arrivano anche le parole del creatore della serie, Shingo 'Seabass' Takatsuka, ad aggiungere benzina sul fuoco. In una intervista con GamesRadar, Takatsuka ha infatti affermato di non essere soddisfatto di quanto ottenuto nel nuovo Pro Evolution Soccer 2008, affermando che il titolo è "molto lontano" da quello che lui avrebbe voluto vedere.

Seabass ha dichiarato che si sarebbe potuto fare di meglio, soprattutto in relazione al fatto che ora si è su hardware di nuova generazione e con maggiori capacità, ma gli stretti tempi di sviluppo ed i problemi legati alla realizzazione multipiattaforma del titolo hanno creato una barriera alle ambizioni di Konami.

Lo sviluppatore ha voluto però tranquillizzare i fan della serie, dicendosi fiducioso nel fatto che il prossimo episodio, quello previsto per fine 2008, rappresenterà il vero salto in avanti, e che avrà tante differenze da quello attuale quante se ne potrebbero riscontrare tra il primo gioco su PS2 ed il PES6 dello scorso anno.

Io continuo a pensare che provando PES e FIFA dovrebbe essere EVIDENTE, per chi segue periodicamente il calcio giocato, che così nn va bene proprio per niente.

A me pare evidente che avendo provato FiFa continuo a rimanere del parere che faccia cagare, ma questa è una mia idea.

Poi è da 1 anno che dico che il vero PES next gen sarà il 2009 ma onestamente sticazzi, mi accontento anche di un PES 6 leggermente migliorato, perchè fondamentalmente PES è una figata rara e il multiplayer/online è quanto + mi diverte e mi fa sukare dopo Daoc il che è tutto dire.

Cmq PES è un gioco da Playstation non c'è un cazzo da fare, anche solo per il pad X360 che obiettivamente è scomodo per PES per via dell'impostazione.
