Beta Update 3.9 Preview
Hey guys,
As we're closing in on our launch day I wanted to ask for your help one last time. We're trying to track down some of the loading problems that you have been experiencing and we have added some additional logging to this patch to help with that. If you experience any of the following issues please send your warnings.txt which can be found at C:\Documents and Settings\user.name\My Documents\My Games\Dawn of War II - Retribution Beta\Logfiles to dow2bugs@relic.com
1. Unusually long load times
2. Stuck on the lobby screen after the countdown has finished for 10 seconds or greater
3. Loading bar flickers rapidly on the loading screen
4. Stuck at the beginning of the game but unable to play for 10 or more seconds
We've also done a pretty significant volume pass over most of the sound and speech in the game so things should come through a lot more clearly. In particular the Tyranid Hive Mind voice should be a lot more audible.
Your help had been invaluable so far and we're all very excited to release the game soon!

* Fixed an issue that was causing the Autarch's level to reset whenever she was re-deployed
* Plague Marine's Touch of Nurgle can no longer be cast on non-chaos units
* Fixed an issue that was preventing Fleet of Foot from being used when the Autarch was group selected with other units that had Fleet of Foot
* Fixed an issue that allowed players to activate both of the Avatar's abilities at once
* Fixed several issues that were causing Heretics and Chaos Space Marines upgraded with an Aspiring Champion to misbehave
* Fixed an issue that was preventing Assault Terminators from using their proper health value from Chaos Rising (increased from 4500 to 5400)

* Off Map Artillery ability radius lowered from 10 to 5
Inquisitor
* Holy Pyre duration reduced from 60 to 30

* Chaos Space Marines lowered in cost from 450/0 to 400/0
Heretics
* Heretics increased in cost from 210/0 to 260/0
Noise Marines
* Noise Marines changed in cost from 450/20 to 400/40
Great Unclean One
* Great Unclean One lowered in cost from 900/220 to 800/200
* Great Unclean One maximum energy increased from 100 to 200
Già pero' con 200 energy tira qualche vomitata in più che lo copre.. Potrebbe anche andar bene se potenziassero il carroarmato

Right now we have no intention of nerfing the Manticore. If you remember the release of Chaos Rising there was a lot of discussion on the Wraith Guard. As players got more used to playing against them the Wraith Guard became easier to deal with and we feel this situation is similar. To be honest, up until the release of the beta we felt internally that the Manticore may not be good enough.
If I can give one piece of advice for players struggling against this unit is that the IG player is putting a lot of resources into a tank that can nearly be two-shot by most types of AV. If you make it a priority to hunt it down and destroy it you can very well win the game in just that action. If you can’t do this, or your opponent prevents you from doing so stay on your toes. If you continue to dodge the barrages then that 300/100 investment becomes useless.
edit2: nel video c'è un misto di artiglierie varie, ma penso che quello più dannoso sia l'abilità The Emperor's Wrath del lord commissario, tre colpi di artiglieria Basilisk da fuori mappa, il wargear costa 200req 10energy però non ho ancora trovato ogni quanto si possa utilizzare.

mi fa morire la mega battaglia al centromappa, con missili e bombe che esplodono da tutte le parti, gente che viene fatta schizzare a destra e sinistra....e in mezzo a quel polverone i Terminators stanno li impassibili e falciare guardsmen con l'heavy bolter
anche se non capisco perchè non li abbia upgradati con il cyclone barrage. avrebbe spazzato via metà di quell'esercito
è giusto che sia così
Il barrage fa meno danno dello storm bolter alla fanteria e mi sembra che abbia pure meno tempi di ricarica.
