Bummertown. But I think people will still QQ. Does anyone think the 15% reduction in damage will change a lot for thieves?

It's disappointing to see, but knew it was coming. Using S/P was my main with Signet of Malice, but I plan on seeing the nerf in action first if it needs changing. And hope it isn't as bad as it looks. Here's hoping!

It was broken. Or at least it made haste seem broken. But it still does good damage. Other builds and weapon sets seem more viable now. Such as P/P. S/P still looks nice with the utility it brings, but had its massive broken 1 button burst fixed
And If you used Rune of Divinity and Pistol whip youll also notice Rune of Divinity was giving 50% extra critical damage more than stated on the text. That has now also been fixed
So you may notice more of a 15% decrease in damage if you used Rune of Divinity. Runes now only give 12% crit damage as opposed to its broken state of 62%
So many people used these runes, it will be nice to see me survive alot more now
Backstab builds that also used Rune of Divinity will also be hit with the loss of a massive 50% extra crit damage

Divinity was mistakenly giving 18%, meaning only the tooltip had been changed when they nerfed them initially. 50% more than 12% is 18%, not 62%.

I am glad I got over that pistol whip build ages ago.
It was fun for about 30 minutes then it was just plain stupid and no skill.

I was looking at the math differently
Either way its fixed
The rune of Divinity will also calm down the backstab builds a bit, its still amazingly good tho

most were using runes of the scholar anyway, they did and still do more damage if you're above 90%

Yeah scholar is still ridiculous for glass cannons.
Divinity is nice if you want to give up a little damage for some overall stats.

Dunno about PvP yet, but I was in Malchor's before I logged. The one pack of mobs I killed, it didn't really see much difference.
I did think at the time it was taking a little longer to burn them down. But at least for easy mode PvE killin it's still fine. I run around 3k power and 39-43 ish crit, and about 72 crit damage (last I looked).
The last hit on PW (crit) is usually in the 3900-6300 range depending on buffs and mob type. I know I saw a 5K+ crit in the pile tonight. And it was stil easy to tank and spank about 4-6 mobs.
In my build PW absolutely melts targets, Always unpleasant getting nerfed, but I ain't surprised.

Playing thief gets harder and harder with these nerfs , thief is the next warlock from wow as it seems from the ban hammers. I hope they will look into bunker guardians next because just destroying every viable build for one class is the worst thing possible ( hint heartseeker ).

Bunker guardians are being nerfed patch after patch. Do you look at any notes other than thief?

I dont even.... This is only a minor setback.. if you used pistol whip (which i dont)
And the heartseeker change was only a nerf if you were using that as your ONLY source of dmg from 100-0. As I was/am using it i never noticed the change (gap closer/finisher after some backstabs)
So yea.... These changes are doing nothing but making other thief builds more attractive, and weeding out the skillless button mashers

well, it was to be expected. same thing i said towards the heart seeker nerf.
but as of now, it's enough. no more nerfs on the thief!
