Auto ban for griefing

Hello all,

Recently, a few players have decided to kick party members from the group after a boss dies or just before it dies, to prevent other party members from looting.

This is a pretty small-minded thing to do, obviously, and we have zero tolerance for it.

I usually do not believe in banning players for "soft" exploits (like abusing the cow level bug), because that's up to us to fix. But I do believe in aggressive, long-term bans for players who directly try and hurt another player's fun.

We log player activity in a detailed manner, so tomorrow I will be asking for an analysis of the logs and ban every player who has done this from the beginning of time. It's very easy to tell who does it intentionally based on the timing of a boss kill and the timing of them kicking other party members.

Anyone who has done the "kick entire party after boss dies but before they can loot" even once will be banned. The first offense will be mandatory 1-year ban. Second offense will be lifetime ban.

If you have done this, I suggest you make a new account and transfer as much of your gear as you can to that account, since you will be locked out of your current account when we get around to banning you.

I will offer a one-time amnesty option: If you are someone who did this, and you publicly post a sincere apology in this thread, I will reduce your first offense ban from 1 year to 1 week. Your deadline will be anytime before I have time to review the data.

In addition, if any player has solid screenshots or video of someone doing this or any other clearly "evil" action that is intended to hurt other players, we will use your information in conjunction with our data to issue bans. Please send your information to customer service and link this thread. Even a player name that has done this is fine, just send it to customer service.

Feel free to fraps your runs and report anyone who you come across performing this cowardly activity.

Zero tolerance for griefing, as it should be.

FAQ:
- No honest players will be banned. It's easy to see the difference. No bans unless we are sure it's intentional, specific griefing.
- This does not apply to accidental kicking or regular party kicking that happens all the time, that's perfectly fine.
- This only applies to the few individuals who are intentionally griefing. If you have any doubts, then you are safe.
- Please don't post players names on this forum, just send to infomration to CS and they will take appropriate action.
- Only email CS if you have solid proof, otherwise we'll just take care of it.
- Most of the people who have done this have bragged about it on some forum.
- We understand the occasional accidental kick or joke kick to your buddies or kicking afk players, etc. None of those are a problem.
- In the 1 in a million chance you have a ban and you are innocent - no problem, just reply to the email from CS and we'll talk it through.

in effetti sbattere la gente fuori dall'instanza prima che il boss muoia è una vera bastardata e fanno bene, forse 1 anno è eccessivo se qualcuno l'ha fatto 1 volta sola, però se è stato fatto ripetutamente ci sta eccome.

Ma guarda, quando l'ho letto pensavo io fosse eccessivo sulle prime, pero' se ci pensi puoi semplicemente crearti un altro account e ricominciare, ti bloccano solo la roba sbloccata, ma il gioco ti rimane, e con un rischio del genere vai tranquillo che mo' ci pensano due volte prima di buttarti fuori al boss.

- se vuoi rushare un boss che magariv edi pure grigio disabiliti l'opzione e vai da solo, quantomeno lo chiedi al resto delle persone in gruppo se va bene o no

- se la vuoi fare in party la daily te la vuoi far tutta compresi i mobs thrash: anche perche il phat loot lo droppano tutti anche le casse o i pezzi di scenario che si rompono eh sono credenze della minchia che i boss droppano special items solo la prima volta che li fai etc

(ma su questo apriro un thread: la prima volta del giorno cioe quando dropano il cube hai un boost allo special loot, stesso boost che hai se il pg e' in rested, e' un modo per agevolare chi ha meno tempo per giocare, ma ogni mob o cassa puo droppare sempre tuttoilcazzodeltutto 24/7)

se il tizio parte e skippa tutti i mobs lo vedi decisamente prima che arrivi dal boss non ci vuole un veggente lo noti anche solamente dalla minimappa dove sta andando.
tra l'altro ti arriva il messaggio quando inca il boss quindi ben prima che lo uccida o in prossimita della sua morte

se chi rusha ha il party decide lui, chiaramente. Io sono libero di andare via se non mi va.
Ma se il party e' mio, invece, e vuole rushare se ne fa un altra/va via o quantomeno chiede se siamo d'accordo.
io se voglio rushare da un boss o fare un instance sottolivello rushando mi prendo la briga di disablitare l'autogroup proprio per non dare fastidio agli altri che magari vogliono farsi l'istanza normalmente

ad onor del vero piu di una volta mi e' capitato di incontrare in gruppo gente educata che chiedeva se a qualcuno del gruppo dava fastidio se rushava fino al boss e se ha avuto risposta negativa cordialmente mollava l'istance

@Mc : dipende se loro considerano kick "in combat" col boss anche se sta al 99%.... perché se tu lo kicki appena parte il messaggio "blablabla is fighting boss-random" me sa che te se schioppano uguale.
Io se becco sta gente sgruppo e instajoino il party dopo...che me frega...
