CD Projekt RED, creators of the open world RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, announce two massive expansions - Hearts of Stone & Blood and Wine

The Witcher is a story-driven, next-generation open world role-playing game, set in a visually stunning fantasy universe full of meaningful choices and impactful consequences. In The Witcher, you play as Geralt of Rivia, a professional monster slayer tasked with finding a child from an ancient prophecy.

“With the development of Wild Hunt coming to an end, the team has embarked upon the creation of two new really big adventures set in The Witcher universe,” says Marcin Iwiński, CD Projekt RED co-founder. “We remember the time when add-on disks truly expanded games by delivering meaningful content. As gamers, we’d like to bring that back. We’ve said in the past that if we ever decide to release paid content, it will be vast in size and represent real value for the money. Both our expansions offer more hours of gameplay than quite a few standalone games out there.”

Hearts of Stone will take Geralt on an all-new, 10-hour-plus adventure into the wilds of No Man’s Land and the nooks and alleys of Oxenfurt, where he’ll try to complete a contract from the mysterious Man of Glass. Caught in a thick tangle of deceit, Geralt will need all his cunning and strength to solve the mystery and emerge unscathed.

Blood and Wine, a 20-hour-plus tale that will introduce the all-new in-game region of Toussaint, will take Geralt to a land untainted by war, where an atmosphere of carefree indulgence and knightly ritual masks an ancient, bloody secret.

The upcoming expansions will offer gamers new adventures, gear and foes and will feature characters both new and dearly missed -- all crafted with maximum attention to detail and quality by the joint forces of CD Projekt RED’s Warsaw and Cracow studios.

Hearts of Stone will premiere in October, while Blood and Wine is slated for release in the first quarter of 2016.

Both expansions will be available on all three platforms: Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 4.

C'era non mi ricordo in quale dei tanti reply dei Community Manager dei CD Project che non sono previste per TW3, delle EE version.

Bhe non per difendere la CD Project ma non hanno annunciato due DLC, ma due espansioni che è ben diverso.

Poi sulla rete mo stan tutti con la merda nel cervello a dire PEHHH DLC MERDA AVEVATE DETTO MAIHHHH, probabilmente perchè le generazioni cresciute da Activision, Ubisoft, EA & Co, non sanno neanche cosa sia un espansione.

Comunque The Witcher 3 è "terminato" da tipo il 20 dicembre 2014 e lockato (nel senso che a livello di contenuti e gioco, è totalmente completo) il resto ed i rinvii han gia detto chiaramente che era per ottimizzazione e bug fixing.

Pensa c'e roba come The Order 1886 che costa 70 euro, è come un film interattivo solo che ha una trama di merda ed il tutto dura 6 ore, in totale. Di gameplay son tipo 2 ore.

wait, se sono espansioni vere e proprie ok. Ma finora nei primi 2 episodi hanno fatto na roba che non m'è piaciuta. Oh se stavolta hanno capito buon per loro.
Il gioco di per sè si trova intorno ai 24-25 euro, niente di stravolgente; basta appunto che non facciano i moneywhore a 6-7 mesi dall'uscita che poi mi girano.

ed a dirti la verita' la cosa dei dlc per me e' un mistero e continua solo per i rincoglioniti che li comprano, la software house che ci fa tot soldi sull utenza stupida (e quello che faccio non e' un discorso di soldi ognuno spende quello che guadagna come vuole) perche ci sono i dementi che coprano il "contenuto aggiuntivo" tipo una quest (impottantissimi quelli di Me ricordo) o 20 min di gioco o un boss in più come alcuni di dark souls

ma quanto era bello quando c'erano le espansioni praticamente era un more of the same, anche nella durata e contenuto, e lo pagavi poco meno del prezzo pieno, se l'espansione era un successo e non standalone l'utenza comprava sia l'originale che l'espansione ed in piu dopo mesi uscivano le complete edition. mi piacerebbe tornasse una formula del genere non la stronzata dei dlc del mio pene.

Sarebbe la roba che non ti è piaciuta?

Perchè per chi possedeva LEGALMENTE le copie "day one" di TW e TW2 potevano GRATUITAMENTE passare alla EE edition.

Perchè se i CD Project sono delle "moneywhore" chiudiamo pure internet.
