I quote interessanti:
"It is not true that Nintendo is able to internally develop everything and keep up with the current pace of change."
"Honestly speaking, Wii's future could have been different if Nintendo had made better partnerships with outside companies in the field of network services at the early stages of the penetration of Wii,"
(Nintendo is going to differentiate between) "what we can basically do by ourselves but can be done better by more skillful outside specialists."
While a few titles broke this mold in the US (such as Just Dance), the Wii still had a problem moving titles such as Call of Duty. Iwata attributed this to both the Wii's lower graphical capabilities and the fact that people who are interested in that type of game usually have other platforms at home to buy them for. Though he kept mum on Nintendo's plans to turn this situation around for the Wii's successor, he did say that, "We are aiming for creating a situation where software publishers will be willing to cooperate."

:sneer: )?
