From this scoreboard screenshot and this Eternal Battlegrounds map we can make several observations:
Stonemist Castle (1) is worth 50 pp
Keeps (12) are worth 25 pp
Towers (24) are worth 10 pp
Camps (24, one unclaimed) are worth 5 pp
We see that the total pool is 710 pp (pp is a unit I made up for Potential Points or Points per time Period). With information from the map, we can make more detailed observations about the value of the Eternal Battlegrounds:
3 Keeps worth 75 pp
12 Towers worth 120 pp
6 Camps worth 30 pp
And of course Stonemist worth 50 pp
This puts the total pp of the center map at 275. We can make some useful statements with that number; Stonemist Castle represents about 20% of the total pp of the center map. Holding Stonemist plus a single keep gives about 30% of the available pp in the Eternal Battlegrounds; add a few smaller objectives and you're gaining over a third. On the other hand, ignore Stonemist and Keeps altogether and capture just over half the Towers and Camps on the map, now you have over a third still!
What about the Borderlands though? Since we know the central map is worth 275 pp, the Borderlands must be worth 145 pp each (visible here). We can see that holding two full Borderlands gives a whopping 290 pp; fifteen more than the entire central map. Also, if the Eternal Battlegrounds are split between two worlds, the third world still has a good chance to win by attacking aggressively into the Borderlands.
Of course all of these points are about rate of pp gain, and due to the long nature of WvW fights they should only be considered a factor in a larger scoring optimization strategy along with considering defend-ability/take-ability of each objective (some pp are easier to hold than others). For those not interested in overall strategy, I hope that this information can convey the importance of all objectives in scoring; not all hopes ride on the Eternal Battlegrounds!
