    Della serie "ecco una chiara dimostrazione di massive multiplayer" (o multiplayer in massa per rimanere ancorati alla lingua italiana), Mythic Entertainment ha festeggiato con una press release dai toni enfatici, la presenza di 1.500 giocatori diversi in una singola battaglia Reame vs Reame avvenuta martedi nel suo popolare MMORPG, Dark Age of Camelot.
    Un conflitto di tale entità all'interno di un singolo campo di gioco è stato possibile grazie alla tecnologia di clustering sviluppata e implementata da Mythic nel suo titolo nelle ultime settimane. Questo sistema di gestione a grappolo dei server ha consentito a giocatori residenti su server diversi di entrare in un unico server adibito proprio a sostenere il combattimento Reame vs Reame.
    Un risultato veramente notevole.

    a me lo swap è durato 20 secondi e + su 1 p4 a 3 giga con 1 giga di ram e 256MB di radeon 9600XT....

    DAoC RvR was great not for the rewards, but for the playerbase that played it because they wanted to RvR. The tragedy of WAR RvR is that it's being played largely by a bunch of WoW-age crybabies that don't want to RvR for fun, but consider it a grind required for rewards.
