in google maps(TM) c'è la funzione "mostra la mia posizione" che fa poppare un puntino blu sulla mappa... ed è moolto accurata, nel senso non va a beccare la centrale telefonica locale, ma proprio l'abitazione! (almeno nel mio caso)

My Location si basa sulla localizzazione dell’utente attraverso le informazioni dell’access point ricavate dalla connessione Wi-Fi; se invece navighiamo via cavo la geolocalizzazione si basa sulla risoluzione dell’IP.

si infatti quando clicchi sull'iconcina di google maps compare l'avviso di firefox che ti chiede se rivelare la tua posizione

Io ho fastweb e mi ha dato la locazione precisa davanti a casa mia.
La mia ragazza ha libero e le dice milano (che è tipo a 30km da dove abita lei lol)
